When A Man Doesn't Have To Try Too Hard...
Hi!
I figured I’d better answer here…
What you should do with your Phalaeonopsis is:
1. bye the sphagnum moss (white moss)
2. take the orchid from the pot and remove all the bark.
3. check the roots and the place where they attach to the plant itself.. if you squeeze them lightly and they outer part don’t come off, and if they are green and firm, you have a chance
4. cut off everything that is dead..
5. moisten the moss (put it in water for 5 min)and put it around the roots. Put the whole thing in the pot and wait…
6. you’ll have to keep it there for at least 6 months, making sure that the moss is moist…
You write that you leave in a dry sunny area.
what you can do is
1. put some semi-see-through blinders between your orchids and the window during the day, or you can kjust put a sheet of paper
2. at no point should any part of your orchid have contact with the glass… they burn.
3. put some stones in the bottom of the pot and put the pots in some shallow plates and put the water in the plates.. the water will evaporate and make your orchids feel better…
It’s always easier if your publish the pictures of the orchids so that it’s possible to see what is wrong
I’ll try to publish some post on how to take care of damaged Phalaeonopsis .. you should stop by my blog in a week or so…
Good luck!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll definitely try that and am putting up pictures later today. You’re my hero. Will be checking your blog. Again, THANK YOU!!!
